On Saturday a little after 18:30 hours, Centerville Fire District was dispatched out to 7 Adrienne lane for a reported structure fire. Car 6 arrived on scene and reported a 2 story, 20' x 30' garage with heavy fire coming from the second floor. Car 2 transmitted the second alarm, dispatching multiple agencies for mutual aid assignments. Engine 2 arrived and the crew quickly went to work and knock down the bulk of the fire with in 10min. Crews from Engine 1 and Rescue 1 assisted with interior operations. Car 1 arrived and assumed command while Tanker 1, Tanker 2 as well as mutual aid tankers from Glasco, Saxton and Woodstock assisted with water operations. Overhaul took place soon after the fire was extinguished and ventilation of the structure remained in effect. Upon completion of an investigation, mutual aid companies were released from their assignments and Centerville - Cedar Grove units were back in service at 21:00 hours.

At 00:23 hours Centerville Cedar Grove with their FAST TEAM responded to a 2nd Alarm Fire at Deluxe Packaging on North Street in the Village of Saugerties. Saugerties Fire Department arrived and found a large machine on fire with a heavy smoke condition and sprinkler system going off and transmitted a 2nd alarm. The sprinkler system stopped the fire from spreading and contained the fire to the machinery. Rescue 1 responded with a crew of 5 as well as Car 3 and Car 4. Units were back in service at 02:18 hours.
The Centerville Fire District is currently accepting applications for new members from the ages of 16 and older to join our family of fire fighters at our Centerville and Cedar Grove fire stations. We are always in search of individuals that carry the same incentive to protect their community.
